Water Sculpture
This and several similar water sculptures are at the botanical gardens. When I was trying to figure out a title for this post I couldn't think of anything catchy, but I think the sculpture speaks well enough for itself.
Vibrant Flower Power
I took this yesterday. I have no idea what it's called, but it was so vibrant I thought I should take a photo for sure. If anyone knows it's name, you're welcome to comment.

Color Crazy
I just went crazy for the deep purple and bright yellow of this Iris. I have never seen one with this intense color before. Eye candy for sure!
Golden Afternoon
As I was driving down a back country dirt road I passed by this field with trees on the edge of it. The late afternoon sun was casting such a warm golden glow on everything that I quickly put the car in reverse, and backed up to get out and take this shot. The golden hue is revealed on the tips of the grasses and the trunk of the center tree. I think it makes a lovely country image!
Young Cattails
You can see in this photo the cattails are just starting to form and get some height on them. In a few short weeks they will be so tall that the pond won't even be visible from this side. I think they make a nice foreground to the pond and the clear blue sky.

Photo challenge # 3 CD
This CD has been incorporated with a scented potpourri . It is reflecting some of the colors in the mix.
Just Take the Stairs
A fantastic old cement waking bridge. Totally shaded by tall trees. Once a much loved bridge, now left to slowly be destroyed by time. Two sets of stairs take you out onto the street.
Where the Troll Lives
Underneath a early 1900's bridge. This just had a perfect feel of old, damp and cool. I think the troll must be hiding behind the bush!
"All Aboard"
This is the front entrance of an abandoned train station. The building as whole was not that spectacular, but I was drawn to the front entrance. I love the colors of the brick, the old wood ceiling, and the peeling paint below the windows.

Five Hundred Miles
If you miss the train I'm on you will know that I am gone, you can hear the whistle blowing a hundred miles.....
After driving down many dirt roads I came across these wonderful train tracks. They look as if they go on forever. The sun was getting lower in the sky as the time headed towards sunset. It was so beautiful I spent quite a while just enjoying the view.

Down by the Tracks
A nice close up of these beautiful train tracks. The only problem I had in getting this image was having to lay down on the tracks which had very sharp rocks between the ties LOL!

Swan and her Babe
This mother and her fluffy baby stayed in shallow waters the whole time I watched them. I couldn't get a shot of them facing the same way. Every time I tried they changed positions.

La Bee en Rose
I found this bee just sitting happily on this rose in a giant rose bush. He didn't even seem to notice me as I approached, he was so content in his little bee world doing his own job.

Stepping into Light
These giant stepping stones were so fun to walk and jump on. They cross an entire pond area. Great fun for kids too!
Gazebo to the Sky
Today has been an absolutely gorgeous day. I've been everywhere just enjoying the cool breeze, and partially sunny skies. This gazebo and white farm fence make a nice image with the fabulous clouds. What a great place to sit and enjoy the wonderful weather!
Lily Pads Flourish
An amazing amount of Lily Pads were flourishing along the lake and walking bridge making a nice foreground for this photo. The bridge extends long into the distance while the lushness of the trees plays up the clouds, and the blue of the sky.
Rolling on the River
A great area to kayak down. Especially for the novice because there's very little white water.. The only thing is a major mosquito situation because of heavy rains this Spring. So it's really just a matter of Rolling, rolling, rolling on the river...........
