"You Can See For Miles"
A fantastic view from Mackinac Island. Looking out to the North/Northwest onto Lake Huron. If you look closely you can see the small bike road that goes the 8.2 miles around the Island. The sky, and water were an amazing color that day, which was a pleasant surprise. The morning started off with fog as thick as pea soup, and rolled in again later that day. Thankfully there was a 2-3 hour window of clear skies!

"Misty Autumn Falls"
In the Upper Peninsula area of Michigan there are a series of waterfalls. This is an image of the Tahquamenon Upper Falls area.
The day started out in solid fog, which turned into rain, then drizzle by the time I started shooting the upper falls. The rain came back again with a vengeance before I finished shooting.
The Upper Peninsula is really beautiful especially in the fall. This particular area didn't have that much color yet , partly because there are so many different kinds of evergreen trees mixed all through, plus I think peak color will be a week away from now.
These falls are about 200 feet across, and have a 50 ft. drop. The mist from fog, and the spray from the falls can be seen in the image. This is a truly lovely place , and quite invigorating. I hope you enjoy the image!

"Time to Relax"
No hurry, you have time to relax, and take a leisurely stroll down the street. Stop at a cafe, and have a quiet cup of coffee or tea. You can easily keep an eye on the time . Before the advent of Mega-Malls, and Superstores the place to go was downtown. Now many towns, and cities ate trying to revamp, and take some of that old fashioned spirit back. I say go for it!
"Shadows Down the Lane"
I know fall is here, and I will be posting some real fall color images shortly, but I took this image about two weeks ago on a day that kept going between really stormy skies, and bright sun. As I was driving down a winding road, I glanced off to my side, and noticed how pretty this looked with the sun shining through. I pulled in, and took a few shots. I liked this one the best. In a couple of weeks I hope to revisit this area and find fall color lining the lane..

"Stormy"
A very stormy day on the shores of Lake Michigan. Rough choppy water, tons of rain, and wind. It seemed like a good image to do monochrome. Even in this type of weather, there is a certain beauty to it all, and an air of freshness with all the wind.

"Maple in Yellow"
This is the last of my fall leaf color shots for now. I hope to be bringing you some Fall color landscape images soon. It looks like there may be so many rainy days coming up that doing much of any kind of outdoor photography is going to be a washout. Hopefully the rain will pass soon!
"Dressed in Red"
This little minimalist color splash struck me as a nice image. I'm not sure what type of tree it is, but it's simple, red, and stands out against the background.
