"Two Feet in the Mud"

Canada Geese are very common in our area. They seem to be pretty friendly unless they want to protect their young. At this time of the year they don't have any young ones left to worry about, so they can just hang around doing whatever they please. This guy was as happy as can be just standing in the muddy water. I thought he should be cold as it was pretty chilly outside, but nope he was just enjoying himself. Maybe he was even people watching!

"Sunday Afternoon"

The perfect place for a Sunday afternoon stroll. It's lovely here anytime of the year. Now as the Fall is winding down the cloudy chilly days and the last of the color can be enjoyed.
Not long from now it will look like you're strolling through a winter wonderland filled with the magic of falling snow and all the wonder that winter brings!

"Sunrise Over Lake Huron"

A peaceful quiet sunrise while looking out onto Lake Huron. The clouds make for a calming image rather than a dramatic one. The lake was calm and pretty smooth. Enjoy the relaxing tones, and hues!

"The Fall of November"

With a slight drizzle going on I decided to get out today and find some kind of fall color somewhere. I found it on this road. Most of the trees have either brown leaves or bare branches, but I found this spot that still has some color. The title of this post came from the way I feel fall looks in the month of November. Nearly gone, and pretty muted!

"Wood and Stone"

Tonight I thought I'd put out another image of a beautiful and quaint house. The combination of a white picket fence, and a stone wall surrounding it give some extra character, and presence. Lovely hanging baskets, and flowers adorn the front porch. The feeling of times gone by, and being in a quiet and quaint area clearly show through. Imagine sitting on bright cushioned wicker furniture on the porch, just looking out at the passersby, and taking in nature. Enjoy, relax , there's no hurry here!

"Standing Alone"

This image revisits the Pictured Rocks area off of Lake Superior. What you see here at first glance might not seem very interesting, but if you take a look at the lone tree standing on the rocks jutting out sightly. You'll notice that the roots of the tree actually reach across to the main part of the land. There isn't anyway for the tree to get any water or nutrients from the rock, so in order for it to survive, it's roots had to attach themselves many feet away to real soil. I thought this was really interesting, and very pretty. I hope you find it so too!

"The Edge of Sunset"

When I was nearly finished with a late afternoon walk in the woods. I decided to take a peak at the river that runs along side this particular area and see if it held any potential for an image. I took this shot as it was getting closer to sunset, but not quite there yet.

"Wrapped Like a Baby"

While doing the corn maze Saturday. I just had to stop and get a few images of the corn up close. I suppose this is going to be feed corn for animals when all is said and done.
The image itself just struck me as cute! It looked like a baby all wrapped up. For those of you on G+. This is a repeat image for you since I posted it there last night. .

"In the Maze"

Yesterday I got my first chance ever to go to a corn maze. It was a lot of fun! It took about 45 minutes to go through the section that we decided to take. It was a perfect fall day to go. This is a view down one path that turns to the right at the end. After finishing up the maze it was time for a cup of hot apple cider, and then going   apple picking at a local apple orchard. Oh, and did I mention eating apple cider donuts! Yum!
