"The Log"

While walking along a wide local stream a few days ago I noticed a log wedged between two rocks. A large boulder on the right, and a smaller one inside the stream. I liked the way the water flowed over the log, and then downstream in general.
Everything is pretty much brown, and past the look of real fall here. Some days are still above freezing which allows for nice nature walks. That will probably be changing pretty soon though. This place will be another revisit when everything freezes over.

"Swishy Tail"

In keeping with my tree theme, I had to show you this cute little guy. I named him Swishy Tail because he didn't stop swishing his tail back and forth the whole time that I was watching him.
This image was taken in October when some of the trees around still had leaves on them including this one. There were so many cute little squirrels everywhere in the woods that day. They seemed to be finding plenty of things to eat, and were probably storing nuts, and acorns for the winter.

"Branching Out"

I guess this must be my tree week. I have taken so many photos of trees recently. The day I took this the sky looked amazing, and the weather was so nice I decided to take a walk.
While I was out I found this large more mature tree right there in front of me. I love the way the branches spread out, especially in contrast to the sky. If I were a child the first thing I would think would be "Tree House"! Enjoy!

"Tree in Camo"

This tree had such a cool look to it that I just had to get a shot. Just walking past it, out of the corner of my eye it caught my attention. It had a camouflaged look to it. I didn't know if it would come across the same after I got home and looked at it on the computer, but it pretty much does. It was an interesting end to a walk in the woods.

"Free Fall"

Mid morning sunlight shines brightly on this colorful leaf as it falls gently towards the ground. Morning dew drops still cling to the evergreen behind it. A fantastic fall day today!

"Barn Revisit"

I last visited this barn in the heat of the summer.
A few days ago I decided to go back again to see what it looks like at this time of year. It was late in the afternoon, and the shadows from huge trees to the southwest are cast across part of the front, and side of the barn. The foliage on all the trees are gone now, but the grass is still green. The afternoon sun made a very bright colored image this time. Maybe I'll try to come back again in the winter to see the nice contrast between the white of the snow, and the red of the barn.

"November Pond"

I have tried to take photos of this pond every couple of months or so to watch the changes in all the seasons. To me it's beautiful at all times of the year. I'll try to take some photos of it when it ices over, and when the whole area is blanketed with snow. For right now though, the look of this pond in its November glory is a lovely sight!
