"12:14"

It's 12:14 by the old clock in the center of the street in the downtown historic district. No one is out shopping, the street is all quiet, not even a car passing by, but everyone is open for business. Take a tour back in time to the olden days. Relaxed, quiet, and calming, with a little bit of small town charm thrown in!

"2011 Favorite Images"

This has been a whirlwind of a year! I have many images that I could put up that have either been favorites of mine, or some that many of you have favored. I'll limit it to just a few. Some you've seen before. Some of them you haven't. There's a varied assortment here. They aren't in any particular order.
I truly appreciate all the support from all of you guys that take the time to stop by my blog, follow me on Twitter, Google+, or 500px! Enjoy!

And that's a wrap as we head down the tracks!

"Winter's Golden Hour"

Late afternoon on the Huron! Such a difference in not only winter time, but winter with no snow on the ground. A beautiful day, the sun was getting low in the sky behind me. The weather was plenty cold, but no snow that day. We got some the day after though! I hope I can come back here and catch this scene when the water is frozen, and snow is everywhere. We'll see what this winter has in store!

"1898"

I've photographed this old firehouse at almost every angle, but this is one of my favorite ways to look at it. Just looking up! Especially when there's a little sky action going on. The processing is HDR for the effect I wanted to achieve.
I love just about everything about this place. The old bricks, and stains, the symmetry, hanging lights, and the great contrast between the bright red paint around the windows etc, and the total building! Enjoy!

"On the Corner"

A small corner boutique in an historic building in a downtown area. Times were once thriving in this town, but over the course of decades of changes in the economy, things declined. Now you can see a resurgence of people bringing their businesses back to the area. Looking at this building standing diagonal to it allows you to see both the old and the new.
