"Barn Shadows"

At the end of February I got to make a visit to the old barn I've posted before. It was a bright sunny, but really cold and windy day outside. Some snow was still on the ground, but being as we haven't seen much anyway this year this wasn't unusual.
The late morning sun was shining strongly, casting wonderful shadows from the trees onto the side of the barn. I think this wonderful piece of history has come through the winter so far in very good shape. I can't wait for a revisit when spring finally arrives!

  3. Nice shot ya got here! Can someone please tell me why every barn is red??? It makes me want to build a bunch of pink ones just so I can say, "Well, it's almost red right?".

  4. Len, Toad and Aaron, thanks so much you guys for your kind, lovely and humorous comments! I just love shadows too, and they can be found in such cool places!
LOL Aaron, I know I think there are only two barn colors that I've seen. Either red, or not painted at all! Hmmmm, pink would be really interesting! :)

  5. What a wonderful colour for this mighty barn. And a perfect blue sky - an ideal contrast. The shadows are the icing on the cake!
