"Snow on Cattails"

A lovely little pile of snow on top of cattails during one of our earlier snows this year. It's amazing how something as simple as a cattail can look so pretty in its infancy, prime, and in its waning especially with snow on top!

"The Office"

This sign has been one that I've admired and looked at for a long time. A couple of weeks ago I got the chance to get a shot of it. I think part of the reason it appeals to me so much, is that old time feel.
I wish the lamp post wasn't there, but there was no way to get a shot without it, and I'm not going to PS it out.
I hope you enjoy the image and get that same old time, small town feel too.

"Golden Hour Shadows"

This is a tree that I have been trying to get to for a long time. It's totally surrounded by cornfields. I had to wait till the corn was harvested and the stalks gone before I could even get to it.
The day I went out was a pretty chilly. The ground turned out to be total mucky muddy mush. It was about a three mile walk to get there, but I think it was worth it.
I captured that nice late afternoon glow, and the long winter shadow of the tree itself.  Enjoy!

"Country Roads"

I've been going back through some of my Autumn images. I suppose the lack of color outside now makes me want to see some of the fall beauty again. Especially with spring so far off.
This image was taken from the middle of an extremely long, bumpy, dirt road. I got stuck on this road for miles before I found my way out. It was raining lightly off and on that day, so every now and then I would stop the car, get out and take a few shots when the rain stopped.
I liked this image because you can get the feeling of the length, and type of country dirt road it is.
