"Pink Curve"

Tonight I thought I'd do something a little more abstract. I loved the curve of this tropical plant when I saw it. I have no idea what its called though. The pink/fuchsia color of it was so striking I thought it would look really nice on a black and white background. See what you think!

"Through the Cornfield"

There's something about a cornfield that can be so interesting and beautiful no matter what time of year it is. They can be wonderful in spring when the fresh stalks are just beginning to grow. Fantastic, tall and green in the middle of the summer when the corn is just ripe for picking. Fun in the fall when some farms turn their fields in to mazes where you can get lost for hours.
Well you might think in the winter, especially one with little snow like this year, that a cornfield wouldn't be very pretty, but take a look at this one. Taken in January during the late afternoon with beautiful golden hour light shining on it. It makes a lovely sight, especially against the sky. Just think, in a few more months all of this will be green again! Ahh, the wonder of the four seasons!

"Brilliant Imperfections"

With winter being as dreary as its been I decided to give us all a little pick me up from this past autumn. I really love this image. It's beautiful in its color, and contrast, but not only that. The imperfections in the leaves give an interest to the subject, showing that there's beauty even exceptional beauty in its imperfections.

"Where Swans Swim"

I took this shot while out for my usual freezing walks LOL! I thought this was kind of cool. Most everything was frozen over on this river except for a water pathway for the swans and ducks to pass through. It's really amazing how they are able to keep warm in such temperatures, where as I was totally frozen!
