"Sunburst Tree"
While out late in the afternoon waiting for sunset. I drove around looking for some nice spots to see the sunset from. I liked the way the sun was coming through this tree, so I decided to take a few shots. This is one of them. Enjoy!

The Bridge Over the River
On a cold and windy day earlier in the winter I took this shot of this walking bridge over a river. The sky was a bright blue, and had very few clouds. It wasn't much of a day for walking or for photography because of the strong winds, but I liked this view, and had to take a few shots. It was pretty peaceful since there were very few people out at the time!

"It's the Roots"
Today I happened to be out and was able to catch a few shots while I was on my way home. This image here had a great feeling to me. I loved the look of the tree roots all twisted and coming out of the ground. The trees here have their roots all intertwined with each other, as if they're reaching out in friendship! The snow partially covering them also makes for a nice winter scene. I have a fondness for the sound of the icy cold water rushing from behind them in the stream.
The tree's roots are their foundation, their anchor to life, stability, and how they thrive. Human beings are like trees in this way. We all need stability, to have a solid base for our lives, and the need for each other as helpers ans friends.
We too can be like these trees with firm anchors to the ground and at the same time reaching out to each other as friends and family, in good times and bad, in hard times and easy. Giving each other the support and love that they need.
I hope you enjoyed this image. It is an image that also applies to us in life. Isn't it fantastic what we can find out there in nature when we take the time to look!

"An Orchids Glory"
These last several days I've been really busy, and not posting as often as I usually do, which I really miss! I happened to look back at a blog I used to have, and saw how much I actually wrote. I wrote poems, I posted food items and talked about them. I also posted interesting stories or poems from other sources.
I looked back at that an smiled remembering times that were not quite as busy. Times when I posted an image just because it went with what I was talking about, or just because I liked it.
Today I'm posting this image not because it's good one, rather because it isn't very good. But the glory of this orchid is in the center or heart of it, and that happens to be the focal point of this image. The same holds true in life. Our glory is in our hearts and souls, in the center of our body.
I am very thankful and grateful to everyone who takes the time to look at my images and read my blog. I plan to continue posting my images, but I may also start writing more again, and doing some of the things that make a blog fun.
For anyone who would like to purchase any of my images I now have two places set up for that. One you can access through my blog at the top of the page through FineArtAmerica. The other is my site at RCNaturephotos.com
I would love to hear any feedback or thoughts on this post. Many many thanks to all of you who take the time to stop by everyday!
