"Overflowing Reflections"

This shot here is just another taste of spring. I got this a day or so ago on a walk by a river. The Forsythia looked really pretty as it flowed over the edge of the area it was in. I loved the fact that not only it, but other spring colors and shapes are reflected in the water also.

"The Bell"

This is a little piece of urban history to me. I was walking in a downtown area and just happened upon this manhole cover. When I saw the inscription Bell System it brought back memories of our older telephones and telephone system before everything was wireless, digital and cell!
I remember when I was growing up in order to have a phone a Bell telephone serviceman would actually have to come to your house and install and give you your phone. Which in those days was a rotary dial phone.
Well times have certainly changed!
Remember all the service trucks with the bell inscription on them. Some of that was still around till reasonably recently. I'm not sure how recent though!
I suppose that I could have taken the time to get the sticks, pebbles, dirt etc out of, and off of this manhole before getting this photo, but frankly I wanted to leave it just as it is, with all its real world charm!
I hope you enjoy this bit of urban history! :)

"Color Me Vibrant"

I just love spring flowers, and with our odd weather we've had some, lost some, and who knows what's going to happen to the ones yet to come!
This image was taken a couple of weeks ago when jonquils were first starting to bloom outside. Most of them were destroyed by frost not long after.
I always find jonquils to be a happy flower. Vibrant yellow color, and a sure sign of spring!
I've been posting quite a few flower type images, as spring has come, but I'll be posting some different types in the near future when I can get to them. I'm a little backlogged on image processing!
I hope you enjoy this familiar, but surely lovely reminder of spring and happiness!
