"Other Worldly"

This image is not that of your typical rainbow. We had a storm blow through here yesterday that gave us a double rainbow, and part of a third. It also brought with it the strangest color of clouds along with it. An orange color, maybe something you might expect in a dust storm. I'm not really sure what gave the clouds the color, but I'm wondering if it might be brought about in part by drought, and the winds kicking up dust.
Anyway, this photo is one of those rush out and get a quick shot of the rainbow image in all it's glory, and strangeness! It really had an Other Worldly feel to it!!

"Gnarled"

I posted this last night on Google+ for #TreeTuesday, so I thought I'd share it on here too.
This image was taken at The Fort Worth Water Gardens. I love the look of the gnarled roots of the Cypress trees there.
The wall behind the trees has water that flows continuously down it, and over time has created some beautiful colored patterns. I think the colors make a striking background for the trees!

"Good Old Days"

When I took this shot I didn't have any thoughts of how I wanted it to look other than the way it was, but while processing it, it just took a turn towards the feel of the days of the old west, which in my mind goes sepia tone.
If anyone has ever seen the movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", then you might get the feel for this. I remember how they would on occasion switch back and forth between color and more of a sepia tone in the movie.
I'm sure some of you will know where this is, but for now it's just the outside of an old Telegraph office in the  old west.
As some people humorously say of the times back then:
Back in the good old days in the old west, when men were men, and some of the women were too! ;)
